Irish direct investment in Morocco exceeded 1 billion U.S. dollars, representing 30 percent of the FDI flow to the north African kingdom, the Aujourd'hui le Maroc daily reported, citing the figures from Moroccan Foreign Exchange Office.

Direct investments from French and Danish investors reached 403 and 391 million dollars, respectively.

Other important FDI came from the United Arab Emirates and the U.S., which amounted to 289 million dollars and 227 million dollars, respectively.

In 2018, the total FDI in Morocco climbed by 28.6 percent to 3.5 billion dollars.
