RIO DE JANEIRO, Nov. 12 (Xinhua) -- Barcelona midfielder Rafinha has been recalled to Brazil's squad for upcoming friendlies against Uruguay and Cameroon, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) said on Monday.
The 25-year-old replaces Real Madrid's Casemiro, who suffered an ankle injury in the European champions' 4-2 victory over Celta Vigo in La Liga on Sunday.
Rafinha's two national team caps both came in September 2015, though he was a part of the Brazil team that won the gold medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Earlier on Monday, the CBF announced that Beijing Guoan midfielder Renato Augusto and Juventus left-back Alex Sandro were called up to replace Barcelona's Philippe Coutinho and Real Madrid's Marcelo for the matches in England.
Coutinho is nursing a hamstring injury while Marcelo has a thigh complaint.
Brazil will face Uruguay in London on Nov. 16 and Cameroon in Milton Keynes four days later.
