YANGON, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- The World Bank will help Myanmar in recovery and development of conflict-hit Rakhine state, Myanmar News Agency reported Wednesday.

The World Bank's aid program, led by Practice Manager Philip O'Keefe in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday, was discussed between Myanmar Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. Aung Thu and visiting World Bank delegation.

Their discussion covered agriculture, livestock and rural area development sectors and also touched upon humanitarian assistance, creating job opportunities and research and development process.

The government has invited cooperation from local and international community in rebuilding and resettlement efforts for the conflict-torn Rakhine state.

The Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) extremist terrorists launched fresh attacks on police outposts in Rakhine on Aug. 25 last year, displacing residents from a number of areas in Maungtaw of the state to Bangladesh.

The process of repatriation of refugees is underway with the cooperation of UN organizations following the initial return of peace to the areas.
