SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) -- U.S. aerospace giant Boeing said Tuesday that it has captured massive service orders worth more than 900 million U.S. dollars with its regional and worldwide customers.

Boeing, which is currently attending the Singapore Airshow, is seeking to boost revenue in its service business through its newly created Global Services division, which involves jet maintenance, repair and overhaul, digital aviation and analytics, and pilot training.

"Predicted growth for aerospace services in the Asia Pacific brings opportunities to partner with local industry to understand the region's greatest needs, invest in new capabilities to meet those needs, and then bring them to market quickly," said Stan Deal, president and CEO of Boeing Global Services.

Deal said Boeing is "serious about helping customers optimize the performance of their fleets and reduce operational costs throughout the lifecycle."

As part of agreements with its regional customers, Boeing signed a contract with China Southern Airlines and Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Company Limited to develop service capabilities for the Boeing Global Fleet Care portfolio, as well as enhanced component and composite repair capabilities.

Boeing is an active player at the ongoing Singapore Airshow, which opened Tuesday and is expected to end on Sunday. It is Asia's largest and one of the most important aerospace and defense exhibitions in the world.

This year, the airshow is expected to attract more than 1,000 firms from 50 countries and regions, including 65 of the top 100 global aerospace companies such as Airbus, Boeing and UTC Aerospace Systems.
